Auckland City is New Zealand's largest local authority. Capital spend for the financial year ended 30 June 2005 exceeded $202 million. Services provided include a total of 1424km of local roads & 2214km of footpaths, about 1300km of storm water pipes, two airfields & eight wharves, collection of about 83,298t of rubbish, 39,536t recycling material, & 11,419t of inorganic rubbish, 66 public conveniences & other infrastructure services.
