The Matrix team have managed a wide range of major and award-winning projects including;
KiwiRail Electric Motor Unit (EMU) Procurement - $500m international procurement project to purchase new trains and associated facilities for the Auckland rail network
Auckland District Health Board Building Programme – 2004 Property Council NZ Special Purposes Building Award (Merit) $500m development of new and existing facilities on the Grafton and Greenlane sites. Comprised a number of concurrent projects ranging from $220m new tertiary hospital, $15M new acute mental health unit, $11M carpark building, to $1.5M student education centre fitout.
Hamilton Airport Terminal Redevelopment - 2008 Property Council NZ Special Purposes Building Award (Merit) $15m redevelopment of Hamilton’s airport terminal to increase capability in order to house a mix of commercial, industrial, manufacturing and aviation enterprises.
Auckland Museum Redevelopment - 2000 NZIA Resene National Awards and NZIA National Conservation Award Development, regulatory and heritage management and delivery of high-profile $45m redevelopment of ann iconic heritage building, including strengthening, air conditioning and exhibition development.
Wintec Campus masterplanning and Student Hub - 2008 Property Council NZ Arts and Education Award and Urban Design Award). Development of a $55M site master plan and delivery of the initial $10m development: a student library, learning and communications centre with lecture theatres.
Sylvia Park Infrastructure Project - Development and delivery of $35M site infrastructure for New Zealand’s largest retail development to date including roading, drainage, power and communications.
Ontrack DART 1 - Development, regulatory management and delivery of $65m redevelopment of Newmarket rail corridor, a key component of a major infrastructure project, commissioned by NZ Government and Auckland Regional Transport Authority, designed to build a modern, sustainable rail network for Auckland. Included enabling works, earthworks, tracks, signals and station.
KidzFirst Data Centre - Planning and delivery of new 200sqm, 170kW data centre building in existing facilities for health care support services.
2 Degrees refurbishment – Refurbishment of a four storey, 1800sqm office building; including fit-out of 200sqm switch room for mobile phone provider.
BCL Broadband Wireless Project – Roll-out of a 28 site broadband wireless network for New Zealand to create Kordia’s ‘Extend’ network.
Bairds Road Spinal Clinic – Staged refurbishment of the Baird’s Road spinal clinic for Counties Manukau District Health board.
The Westin Auckland, Lighter Quay – Winner or the 2008 Property Council NZ Tourism and Leisure Award (Excellence). $60m development of 5-star Hotel in iconic Auckland waterside location
