New Zealand Defence Force: Thales provides a wide range of systems and equipment to support NZDF personnel in safely conducting their tactical missions. Key technologies include: Encryption devices, friend or foe identification capabilities, secure tactical radio technology, thermal imaging equipment, Naval sonars, electro-optics for the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV), Steyr rifles and small arms ammunition.

Auckland Transport: Thales is delivering a multi-modal and multi-operator ticketing system ‘HOP’ for Auckland Transport. The system enables transport customers to seamlessly and easily travels across all transport modes, trains, buses and ferries using one smartcard ticket. The system is scalable, uses open architecture, open standards, provides for interoperability with third-party suppliers, ensuring flexibility and supporting future delivery of a fully integrated national fare collection system

New Zealand Banks: Thales provides the encryption and secure communications technologies supporting electronic transactions through EFTPOS and ATMs.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Thales provides secure communications technologies between Wellington and overseas Embassies.

New Zealand Airways: Thales delivered and maintains New Zealand’s primary and secondary air traffic control radars across nine sites, air navigation systems and instrument landing equipment.

Air New Zealand: Thales is one of the worlds largest suppliers of simulation based training solutions for civil and military flight training. Thales supplies Air New Zealand with Boeing 747-400, 767 and 777-200 aircraft.
