As New Zealand’s largest infrastructure services provider, Transfield Services New Zealand employs more than 3500 people, based at 62 sites from Invercargill to Kaitaia.  The company specialises in operations, maintenance, asset management and project management services across a broad range of sectors that include:

• Local government
• Central government, including: Transpower, Transit NZ, the Ministry of Defense, Housing New Zealand Corporation
• Private businesses, including: Telecom, Meridian Energy, etc.

Its Australian Stock Exchange listed parent company also has operations throughout Australia and in the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, South East Asia, India and Canada.

Core business

The company’s New Zealand operations form five core business units:

Facilities Management: This group’s trade-related services range from painting, decorating and building maintenance for Housing New Zealand Corporation, to providing full hospitality services, and armoury, vehicle fleet and machinery maintenance for the NZ Army’s Waiouru training camp.

Generation and Industrial: Electrical and mechanical maintenance services for major industrial and generation clients.

Infrastructure: Provides a diverse range of services, including: traffic engineering, network operations and planning, street light maintenance, pavement markings, traffic control systems, asset management, pavement rehabilitation and vegetation control.

Telecommunications: A full range of maintenance and project services, including LAN and wireless networks, to local telecommunications companies.

Transmission and Distribution: This group provides maintenance and project services to electricity network owners, power generators, industrial and infrastructure clients.
