United Group Limited (UGL), a leading diversified services company operating in maintenance, facilities management, engineering and construction to blue-chip companies, governments and institutions throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and the Middle East.

From our origins as a Perth-based construction company in the early 1970s, UGL has emerged as a leading broad-based service provider, delivering tailored solutions and services to clients throughout the world.

Through our four operating businesses UGL Infrastructure, UGL Rail, UGL Resources and UGL Services customers in the rail, water, property, power, transport, communications and resources and sectors have come to depend on the reliability, innovative skills and first-class capabilities of UGLs 30,000 people.

Fully integrated services
Enhancing customer performance is UGL's primary objective, no matter what the challenge. We offer a broad range of services, individually tailored to each project. We provide manufacturing and engineering services, we build and maintain resources and industrial sites and we build and maintain rolling-stock and related infrastructure. We also offer business process outsourcing to property users in the shape of corporate real estate services, facilities management, procurement, human resources and finance and accounting support.

Customer-driven approach
UGL's focus is to help its customers assets perform better. We have been instrumental in the New South Wales rail system for more than 100 years, worked on the delivery of the North West Shelf gas project over the past 20 years, partnered with customers in the power sector for more than 15 years and helped develop Australia's alumina industry over the past 40 years.

Ultimately the solutions UGL delivers impact the every-day lives of the people that live and work in the communities in which the company operates. Whether it's the passenger trains we build and maintain that take millions of people to work every day, the resources we help to process, the workplaces we manage so businesses function better, or the essential services such as power, water and communications that we bring to people's homes and offices, UGL is an integral part of its customers success.

Technology leadership
Each of the sectors in which UGL operates is global, and with the continued geographical expansion of both the group and its customer base, we have to deliver global products and solutions.

While our businesses have excellent capabilities, we recognise the need to partner with the world's technology leaders in order to deliver the most advanced solutions. Our partnerships with General Electric, Mitsubishi, Siemens, MWH, ALSTOM, Balfour Beatty and Aker Kavaerner (to name a few) means we can lead the way in the delivery of cutting-edge technologies.

Uncompromising values
UGL's people are focused on delivering the best possible project outcomes, and the group's core values underpin everything its people do. Teamwork, open and honest communication, integrity, safety and outstanding customer service are instrumental to our growth, the development of our people and the success of our customers.

Safety
We recognise that safety leadership is critical to the ongoing success of our projects and customers. Our unique USafe program empowers each and every UGL employee to take responsibility for his or her own safety and the safety of those around them.

The evolution continues
UGL's growth and range of services is set to continue. In everything we do, we take a long-term view, whether it's the development and wellbeing of our people, practical solutions for our customers or returns to our shareholders.

The group continues to evolve in a careful, considered and customer-driven manner. I invite you to read about us further on this website and thank you for your interest in UGL.
