Veolia Transport’s mission is not limited to its business as a public transport operator.  Aware that we can meet the great challenges of our planet and wishing to take part in the development of our clients’ target areas, we have defined three axes on which to concentrate:

• Optimising urban assets – through knowledge of our clients’ territories, our expertise in all transport modes and commitment to our public-sector and industrial clients, as well as passengers.

• Protect environmental assets – through 1) our determination to reduce the impact of our activities 2) measures to encourage the use of public transport and 3) participation in the public debate on climate change.

• Develop human assets – by continuous improvement of our employees’ skills and our determination to make public transit a part of local life.

Commitment to the environment

The four dimensions of Veolia Transport’s commitment to the environment are:

1. Increase the attractiveness and patronage of public transport usage

‒ Continuing to use our Environmental Management System (EMS), unique in the public transport sector

‒ Limiting fuel consumption and increasing the amount of biofuels used

‒ Reducing noise and waste-related pollution

‒ Promoting Sustainable Development internally and mobilising our employees
